President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced a series of development initiatives for Kaafu Thulusdhoo, including new housing, a modern football stadium, and a new harbour.
Speaking during a community meeting held as part of his ongoing visit to Kaafu and Lhaviyani Atolls, the President said that housing will first be provided to residents of Thulusdhoo, followed by those who relocate to the island.
He commended the community for its efforts in realigning the population and emphasised the Government’s plans to promote further population and cultural integration projects in consultation with local residents.
President Dr Muizzu also revealed plans to construct a new harbour on the western side of Thulusdhoo and to open a branch of the Bank of Maldives (BML) along with a dollar ATM, further improving services and infrastructure on the island.
