Vice President, Faisal Naseem has arrived in Maarandhoo today as part of his ongoing visit to the Haa Alifu Atoll.

On his visit to the island, the Vice President met with the people of the island and stated that the government’s policy is based on providing equal opportunities of development for every island. He also said that the government gives special focus on the improvement of health and education system of the country and that the people would see positive changes in this area in the near future.

Vice President Naseem toured the Maarandhoo School and Health Center, Power House and met with the employees working at the institutes and inquired on the current situation and the challenges faced while carrying out the mandate of the institutes.

He is set to meet with the Maarandhoo Island Council on his visit.
