Fenaka Corporation Limited has transported a 1.6-megawatt generator to Addu City to help resolve ongoing electricity issues in the area.
In a post on X today, Fenaka announced that the generator has been successfully unloaded upon arrival in Addu City. The company said the new equipment will help stabilise power supply and improve electricity services for residents.
Fenaka had previously stated that two 1.8-megawatt Cummins generators had be transported to Malé City, with plans underway to move them to Addu City as well.
The company added that efforts are in progress to acquire another genset to further strengthen Addu City’s electricity network.
