Two people have been found dead in a house in Addu City’s Hithadhoo, police have confirmed.

According to the Maldives Police Service, the deceased have been identified as 60-year-old Ibrahim Abdulla of Hithadhoo, and 52-year-old Farahanaz Rasheed of Maradhoo. Police said the pair were a couple and were working in the area at the time of the incident.

Authorities have not released further details regarding the circumstances of their deaths. Police stated that no suspects have been identified so far and that an investigation is currently under way.
