The Pascual Fonadhoo Youth Futsal Challenge 2025, the largest futsal tournament in Laamu Atoll, is set to begin on 23 October. The annual event is organised by the Fonadhoo Central Atoll Sports Club (FMSC) and features 13 teams competing for the championship title.
The tournament’s opening ceremony was attended by team officials, managers, and senior representatives from FMSC. The group stage will run from 23 to 27 October, followed by the quarter-finals on 28 October , the semi-finals on 29 October, and the final on the night of 31 Ocotober.
The teams have been divided into four groups:
- Group A: Foemathi, Foemathi Junior, Kanmathi SC, Laamu Blues
- Group B: Maahinne United, Outreef SC, Lacrosse SC
- Group C: Kanmathi FC, Best, Youth Academy
- Group D: G Star SC, BGSC, Goalhians
The tournament champions will receive a cash prize of MVR 50,000, sponsored by the Fonadhoo Medhuavashu Sports Club.
Now in its sixth edition, the Fonadhoo Youth Futsal Challenge continues to attract talented players from across Laamu Atoll. Each team is also allowed to include up to four players from other atolls. The event will once again feature several well-known Maldivian futsal players.
