The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has gathered opinions from students on the master plan that envisions the future residents of Hulhumalé.

HDC announced on September 29 that they would hold a forum called "Khiyaalun Hulhumalé" to gather public opinion on the social, landscape, and transport master plans for Hulhumalé.

HDC said that they gathered opinions from the youngest members of the Hulhumalé community yesterday during a consultation session for the Hulhumalé Master Plan.

The corporation stated that this forum is aimed at increasing the participation of Hulhumalé residents in the island's development and shaping the master plans according to public opinion.

"The students have noted that this master plan represents the vision of people who will be living in Hulhumalé for many years to come," HDC said.

The opinion-gathering forum was scheduled to run from October 13 until tonight. Online registration was available for participation in the forum, with the registration deadline having passed on October 7.

HDC stated that their goal is to seek public opinion at every stage of Hulhumalé's development and to build a comfortable Hulhumalé with public participation.
