Former Minister of Finance Ibrahim Ameer has been summoned to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) for questioning.

According to reports, Ameer received a chit instructing him to appear before the ACC today. He is being questioned over suspected misconduct linked to a 2019 decision by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee to compensate Swift Engineering Pvt Ltd for damages sustained by the company.

The ACC alleges that Ameer, along with other committee members, was involved in actions that may have provided undue benefit to Swift Engineering.

Former Minister of Economic Development Fayyaz Ismail has also been summoned in connection with the same case.
