Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been awarded two major development projects in ADh. Mandhoo - the construction of Mandhoo School and the Mandhoo Football Stadium.
The agreement for the school project was signed between the Ministry of Education and MTCC, with Education Minister Dr Ismail Shafeeu representing the ministry and MTCC Managing Director Ahmed Saudhee signing on behalf of the company. The project, valued at MVR 16.95 million, is expected to be completed within 360 days. It includes the construction of a three-storey building, six classrooms, and a multipurpose hall.
Additionally, the construction of the Mandhoo Football Stadium has officially commenced. The project was inaugurated by Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu, in a ceremony attended by members of the People’s Majlis, the Mandhoo Council, and local staff.
The football stadium project, valued at MVR 11.48 million, is scheduled for completion within 210 days. It involves the construction of a boundary wall, installation of lighting, subbase preparation, and turf installation.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu reaffirmed the government’s commitment to accelerating development across all inhabited islands, including Mandhoo.
