Two major development projects were inaugurated in ADh. Dhidhdhoo during President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s visit to the islands of Alifu Dhaalu Atoll.
The Dhidhdhoo Futsal Ground development was inaugurated at a ceremony attended by Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, Dhidhdhoo Council members, senior government officials, and the Managing Director of MTCC, Ahmed Saud. The project, awarded to MTCC at a cost of MVR 1.74 million, will be completed within 120 days. It will include earthwork, concrete works, the construction of a boundary wall, and electrical installations. The inauguration was officiated by Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu.
Work also commenced on the construction of a new building for the Dhidhdhoo Health Centre. The project, valued at MVR 12.03 million and awarded to MTCC, is scheduled to be completed within 270 days. It includes the construction of a 4,600 square foot boundary wall and a portico. The project was inaugurated by Minister of Finance Moosa Zameer at a ceremony held as part of the President’s visit.
Both projects reflect the Government’s commitment to strengthening sports and healthcare infrastructure in the Maldives.
