President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that teachers hold the biggest role and power in securing a bright future for the Maldives.

In a post on X today, marking Teachers' Day, the President said that teachers' hard work and dedication encompass benefits for both this world and the hereafter, and it is a dignified, honorable service that cannot be valued by any material measure.

"The students who will raise this nation's flag tomorrow with strong determination and courage are in schools today. These children will grow into the robust generation that Maldivians desire through the guidance, education, and care given by teachers today. The biggest role and power in securing a bright future for the Maldives lies in the hands of teachers," the President said.

The President assured that the government will give special attention to providing progress and facilitation for all educators working in the Maldivian education sector.

The President extended Teachers' Day greetings to all teachers and prayed for the well-being and happiness of every teacher's family.
