Malé City Council has launched a new digital platform that allows residents to view land and building sizes in the Greater Male’ Region. The platform provides real-time access to information, including details of residential plots, mosques, vacant land, and other buildings.
According to the Malé City Mayor Adam Azim, the system replaces the previous manual process, where records were kept in separate files and spreadsheets. The new platform brings all information together in one place, making it easier for citizens to check the size of their land and properties through an interactive online map.
The platform currently contains details of 9,067 buildings, including 8,378 residential plots. The council has also announced plans to expand its features within the next six months. This will include showing approvals granted for construction, as well as permissions to operate shops, garages, and other facilities within a property.
The City Council has requested the public to report any errors or missing details related to the data shown on the platform.
