Managing Director of Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) Hamdan Shakeel has said that efforts are underway to hand over the keys of flats built under the Gedhoruveriya housing scheme by the end of November.

At a ceremony held in Hulhumalé Phase II on Sunday, the first keys were handed over to recipients, starting with a woman who received a flat in the 14th tower of Aman Udares. So far, 14 recipients who paid their security deposits have been given their keys.

Hamdan noted that the corporation is working to distribute the keys for all 4,000 flats before the end of November.

FDC began signing agreements with recipients of the scheme on 21 July 2019. According to the corporation, over 3,000 agreements have already been signed. In a post on X earlier this month, FDC confirmed that 3,088 parties had been allocated flats, with 3,032 having signed agreements.

FDC further stated that 90 percent of the flats are now complete, and the units will also be made available to new business owners.
