To commemorate the International Day of Older Persons, the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services, HDC, Ooredoo, and the Police are jointly organizing a 'Senior Citizens' Evening'.

The Gender Ministry announced today that the event, aimed at providing an opportunity for the elderly to spend time with their families in a joyful environment, will be held tomorrow evening at 16:30 in the 'Ruhgandu 3' area of Hulhumalé Phase-2.

"During this evening, various activities and games will be organized to provide a fun and enjoyable time for the elderly and their families. Stalls showcasing different activities by members of this Ministry's Senior Citizens' Club will also be set up," the Gender Ministry stated.

The Ministry added that spending a pleasant time in a friendly environment with families is a valuable gift for the elderly. Therefore, they have invited as many people as possible to participate in this evening with their elderly family members.
