Fenaka Corporation has been ordered by the Civil Court to pay MVR 3.8 million owed to Elfi Maldives Private Limited.
The case was filed at the Civil Court by Elfi Maldives, seeking to recover the amount owed for goods sold to Fenaka after 2 November 2022, along with MVR 30,000 as legal fees.
Following hearings, the Civil Court ruled on 15 May that Fenaka must pay MVR 3.8 million to Elfi within 30 days, and an additional MVR 25,000 as trial costs within 14 days.
As part of enforcing the judgment, the Civil Court issued an order to withhold MVR 3.8 million from Fenaka’s bank account and deposit it with the court. The court has now ordered the release of this money to Elfi Maldives.
Elfi Maldives had also filed a petition with the court to implement the judgment after Fenaka failed to make the payment.
