A Nepalese woman has been stabbed and injured with a sharp object in Hulhumalé.

Police stated that they received information about a person being taken to Hulhumalé Hospital after being stabbed with a sharp object at around 12:45 PM today.

The police also mentioned that the victim of the incident is a 21-year-old woman who works at a shop in Hulhumalé Phase 1.

However, the police have not disclosed who attacked her or the reason behind the attack.

The police said that they are investigating the matter.
