President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has assured that an additional 100 housing units will be built in Kolhufushi next year.

The President gave this assurance during consultations with the people of Kolhufushi this morning, as part of his ongoing tour to islands in four atolls.

The President said that in addition to the 100 housing units already built in Kolhufushi, he assures that work on another 100 housing units will be carried out in Kolhufushi, included in next year's budget.

"I assure you that an additional housing project will be included in next year's budget and will be implemented next year, in addition to the government's housing units already allocated."

The President said that through this project, those who want to build housing units on their own land will have that opportunity.

The President said that the 100 housing units currently built in Kolhufushi will be handed over by the end of this year.

He also said that the government is working to complete the provision of utility services to these units by the end of this year, with the work assigned to Fenaka Corporation, and that this work is progressing rapidly.
