Treatment has begun for two men who were injured when a pickup truck driving from Malé to Hulhumalé was involved in an accident.

Police told media today that they received information around 02:42 AM last night about a pickup truck losing control near the bridge airport light while driving from Malé to Hulhumalé, hitting the dividers in the middle of the bridge and getting into an accident.

The driver of the pickup and a foreign man in the pickup were injured in the accident, and both are receiving treatment at the hospital.

"The pickup and the divider suffered significant damage in this accident. In connection with this case, the pickup driver's license has been suspended and the pickup has been towed," the police said.

The police said they are investigating the case.
