Information claimed to be communications from former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb's phone has been leaked on social media.
The phone data, which includes call logs, contains over 81,000 messages. These messages were sent during 2014.
The data, leaked as a PDF file, contains over 2,900 pages. The people who sent messages include judges, ministers of the then government, senior officials of companies, members of parliament, and journalists.
In addition, the data file also includes messages exchanged between Adeeb and individuals involved in the MMPRC embezzlement case.
In these messages, many people are seen repeatedly asking Adeeb for money. There are also messages containing personal information sent by women in a romantic context.
The file shows that Adeeb had also noted in his phone dates when he needed to pay large sums of money to certain individuals.
