President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that land reclamation work will also proceed along with the F. Bilehdhoo harbor project.

Speaking at a meeting held in Bilehdhoo this evening as part of his tour to F. Atoll islands, the President said that MTCC will carry out the harbor work with design changes to maximize the available space, fulfilling the hopes of the residents.

The President said that while MTCC is carrying out the work in collaboration with the council and the ministry, they will make as many changes as possible to expand and enlarge the existing harbor.

"Along with this, to increase space for land expansion, we assure the people today that we will carry out a project to reclaim the maximum possible area from the lagoon of this island in conjunction with this harbor project," he said.

The President said that within the environmental protection regulations, they will leave the required space for the island and keep the minimum required area, while expanding the land to the maximum possible extent. He also said that MTCC will leave Bilehdhoo only after completing these works.
