President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced that a loan scheme for Maldivian content creators will be opened within the next two weeks.

The President said in a post last night that all technical work for the scheme has been completed. The initiative fulfils his pledge to provide soft loans for local content creators.

According to the President, the loan scheme aims to strengthen the creative economy and create more opportunities for Maldivian youth to engage in the sector.

The scheme will support areas such as media content, audio and video production, image creation, entertainment, as well as sales and marketing.
