Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has led numerous activities to mark National Engineers Day.

In conjunction with the Children's Evening event organized by the Housing Ministry to celebrate Maldives Engineers Day, HDC participated and conducted activities yesterday evening at 4:00 PM in the Malé Usfasgandu area.

As part of the event, HDC set up a special stall featuring many engineering-related activities aimed at children. The HDC stall showcased bridge and survey equipment.

Information about the Smartcom Tower was provided to children. Various games were used to share information about construction and engineering. This included activities related to assembling a computer and hydraulic water power JCB.

In addition to this evening event, HDC conducted a tour aimed at students from Hulhumalé schools last Thursday.

HDC said that the tour, which included 32 students from five high schools in Hulhumalé, showcased various works being carried out by HDC and provided information about these works works to the students.

The main purpose of the tour was to provide information about HDC's development projects and engineering work, and to familiarize school students with the field.

HDC stated that at this juncture when the role of engineers is crucial for the country's development, they will provide full cooperation in such activities initiated by the government to interest young people in this field.
