Tree Top Hospital has opened applications for its annual nursing scholarship programme, conducted in collaboration with Villa College since 2021. The initiative aims to train young Maldivians to build careers in the nursing profession.

So far, 19 students have received scholarships through the programme, with seven of them now employed as nurses at Tree Top Hospital. Scholarships are offered for both the Diploma in Nursing and the BSc in Nursing.

The hospital noted that nursing is one of its most vital sectors, with nurses playing a central role in delivering healthcare services. Efforts are also being made to expand opportunities for specialist nurses.

Maldivian students enrolled in Villa College’s nursing programme are eligible to apply. Applicants must not be studying under another scholarship or at an institution other than Villa College. Both new and current students are welcome to apply between 15 and 30 November.

Applications can be submitted by emailing [email protected], and more information is available by contacting 7350642.

Tree Top Hospital said the scholarship reflects its commitment to strengthening healthcare in the Maldives, reducing the need for Maldivians to travel abroad for treatment, and lowering the cost of medical services.
