Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has begun work to assess and strengthen the condition of domestic airports under its management.
MACL told media today that under this initiative, led by Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed, the company's EXCO members and technical team will visit the nine domestic airports newly acquired by MACL to assess their condition and identify areas for improvement.
"As part of this work, MACL's EXCO members and technical team visited Fuvahmulah Airport last week to assess its condition and meet with the airport staff," MACL said.
Following the government's decision to merge Regional Airports Company Limited (RACL), which previously operated domestic airports, with MACL, the latter took over the operations of nine airports from RACL last month.
