A pickup overturned on the Sinamalé Bridge Highway on Friday afternoon.

According to the Maldives Police Service, the incident occurred around 12:40 p.m. when a tyre blew, causing it to hit a divider and overturn.

No injuries were reported, though the pickup was badly damaged. The vehicle also collided with a car during the accident, but the car sustained no major damage.

Police stated that the pickup had been speeding beyond the legal limit. Action has been taken against the driver, and investigations are ongoing.
