Fuvahmulah Airport has reopened after a fire truck was transported from Addu City.

The airport was temporarily closed on Monday evening. This closure was a standard procedure in line with Civil Aviation guidelines when taking charge of a fire truck.

According to available information, the fire truck was transported to Fuvahmulah on a landing craft from Addu City sometime during the night.

Upon receiving the fire truck, the airport was reopened today. Flights to and from Fuvahmulah Airport are expected to resume at some point today.
