Fuvahmulah City Airport has been temporarily closed due to an issue with the fire truck.

The airport was temporarily closed yesterday evening.

"The airport was closed while people were boarding the flight scheduled to depart for Male'. When the fire truck was tested on the runway in preparation for the incoming flight from Male', it was discovered that there was an issue with it," said a person who provided information from Fuvahmulah.

The issue with the fire truck has not yet been resolved. This is the only fire truck currently in use at Fuvahmulah Airport.

Maldivian operates two daily flights to Fuvahmulah.
