The foundation for the Fitness and Recreation Center in HDh. Makunudhoo has been laid today.

The foundation of the Makunudhoo Fitness and Recreation Center was laid in a ceremony held today during President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's ongoing trip to HDh. Atoll.

In the ceremony, which President Muizzu also attended, the foundation was laid by Sports Minister Abdullah Rafiu and Ibrahim Shareef, Managing Director of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), which has been contracted to build the Fitness and Recreation Center.

Building modern Fitness and Recreation Centers on all islands of the Maldives is a presidential pledge made by President Muizzu.

Under this pledge, work has been contracted for building Fitness and Recreation Centers on some islands, while practical work has already begun on others.
