Former Minister of Planning and National Development, Hamdhoon Hameed, has been appointed as an advisor to the Ministry of Finance.

While the Finance Ministry confirmed Hamdhoon's appointment to this position, they did not disclose a specific date. This information has not yet been published on the President's Office website either.

Hamdhoon previously served as the Planning Minister during former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom's administration and as the Non-Resident Ambassador to Singapore during former President Abdulla Yameen's administration. He has also served as a member of the People's Majlis.
