President Dr Mohamed Muizzu inaugurated a new ATM service in HDh. Finey today, marking the launch of key development projects on the island.
The service, introduced by the Bank of Maldives (BML), was formally opened with the President making the first transaction. He was joined at the ceremony by BML’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Mohamed Shareef. The expansion is part of BML’s nationwide programme to provide ATM services in all inhabited islands.
During the visit, Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan led the groundbreaking of the Finey Police Station, accompanied by Commissioner of Police Mohamed Naveen. Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu also officiated the groundbreaking of the Finey Fitness and Recreation Centre.
President Dr Muizzu’s trip to Finey forms part of his ongoing tour of 13 inhabited islands in Haa Dhaalu Atoll, aimed at engaging with councils and residents to discuss local development priorities.
