President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has assured residents of HDh. Finey that the island’s harbour project will be completed with revisions based on their input.

Speaking to the community during his tour of South Thiladhunmathi Atoll, the President highlighted that residents had proposed several important changes to the project. He confirmed that these adjustments will be incorporated into the revised design, with funding allocated in the 2026 budget.

In addition to the harbour project, President Dr Muizzu pledged further development initiatives for Finey. These include relocating the island’s school, establishing a police station, developing a waste management centre, building a children’s park, and carrying out projects in the energy sector. He also announced upcoming ventures in youth and sports development.

Concluding his remarks, the President reaffirmed his Administration’s commitment to prioritising projects that directly enhance the quality of life for the people of Finey.
