President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has decided to award a special honor for national service to the people of HA. Utheemu.

According to the President's Office, the President decided to bestow this honor in recognition of the role played by the people of Utheemu in maintaining the Utheemu Palace and the importance they give to it. Additionally, the honor is being given as the Utheemu Palace has been under the care of the Utheemu people for about 500 years.

The honor will be presented at the official National Day ceremony to be held in Utheemu tomorrow at 10:00 AM, as part of this year's National Day celebrations.

At this ceremony, the National Award of Honor and the National Award of Recognition will also be presented.

The President's Office said that this year, the National Award of Honor will be given to three individuals, with one award being given posthumously. The National Award of Recognition will be given to nine individuals and one company this year.

The recipients of the national awards were selected by the National Awards Committee established by the President. For the National Award of Honor, the President will present an honorary shield, an honorary badge, and a commemorative document. For the National Award of Recognition, the President will present a commemorative plaque and a commemorative document.
