President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated a new Bank of Maldives (BML) branch and US Dollar ATM in Ukulhas, Alifu Alifu Atoll.

The inauguration ceremony was held last night as part of the President’s ongoing visit to the atoll. The event was attended by Minister of Finance Moosa Zameer, BML Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habib, and BML CEO Karl Stumke.

To mark the launch of the new service, President Dr Muizzu made the first withdrawal from the dollar ATM. Following the inauguration, he also handed over a commemorative memento to the Ukulhas Council. Council President Shaukath Ibrahim accepted the memento on behalf of the Council.

The President then toured and inspected the new branch facilities.
