Three individuals have been charged for planning to carry out dangerous terrorist acts in Malé and nearby areas.
According to available information, this case involves a planned attack by supporters of the terrorist organization Islamic State. However, based on intelligence received by the police and MNDF intelligence, the three individuals were arrested in a joint operation by the police and military in March of this year.
The charges against the three individuals were sent to the Criminal Court on July 2 of this year.
The three individuals charged are:

During the operation to arrest these three individuals, the police searched several houses in Malé and stopped a pickup truck near Izzuddin Bridge, seizing some items as evidence.
