The National Meteorological Service has announced that the weather will deteriorate, with rain expected in the southern and central atolls of the Maldives.

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MET) said today that while rain is expected in the southern and central atolls, heavy rainfall is likely in the southern atolls.

This weather pattern is expected to continue until tomorrow.

MET said that the weather will be good in the northern atolls.

The meteorological service said that winds will blow from the northwest to north at speeds between 5 and 15 miles per hour, with gusts up to 35 miles per hour in rain clouds. They also predicted that seas in all areas will be moderately calm.
