An agreement has been signed to entrust the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) with the development of outdoor gyms in 71 islands across the Maldives.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the Sports Ministry by Minister Abdullah Rafiu. HDC was represented by its Managing Director, Brigadier General (Retired) Ali Zuhair.

According to the ministry, work is currently underway on gyms in an additional 38 islands.

Establishing outdoor gyms on all inhabited islands of the Maldives by the end of next year is a pledge made by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
