Bank of Maldives (BML) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (CA Maldives) to advance the accounting and auditing profession in the country.
The agreement focuses on knowledge-sharing, regulatory development, and capacity building. BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said the partnership marks a significant step in enhancing professional standards in accounting and finance across the Maldives. He noted that working closely with CA Maldives would help build capacity, promote best practices, and support the growth of the financial sector and wider economy.
The collaboration is expected to deliver long-term benefits by strengthening skills, knowledge, and ethical standards within the profession. BML has been pursuing similar partnerships, including its collaboration with CA Maldives last year to host the Maldives Accountants Forum, which provided a platform for professional engagement and knowledge exchange.
