Dhiraagu has signed on as the main partner of the ITF Maldives Junior Open 2025 – J30, the first International Tennis Federation (ITF) event to be hosted in the Maldives.
The under-18 tournament, organised by the Tennis Association of Maldives (TAM), will take place from tomorrow until 30 May at the National Tennis Centre in Malé. The event is expected to draw more than 100 athletes from 24 countries, including 22 local players.
Dhiraagu described the tournament as a landmark in the nation’s sporting calendar, providing young athletes with the chance to compete at an international level while showcasing their talent on home soil.
Dhiraagu’s Director of Brand and Marketing Communications, Mirshan Hassan, said the company is delighted to be a partner in the first-of-its-kind ITF tournament in the Maldives, promoting tennis and giving young players the opportunity to compete on the international stage. He added that it reflects Dhiraagu’s commitment to developing sports in the Maldives and promoting the country as a destination for sporting events.
TAM Vice President Ignaz Mansoor expressed gratitude for Dhiraagu’s support, noting that the collaboration would help elevate tennis in the Maldives. “Our aim is to take young athletes to greater heights by allowing them to compete internationally. We thank Dhiraagu for being the main partner in ensuring the success of this tournament,” he said.
Beyond this event, Dhiraagu remains actively involved in community initiatives and sports development, with a continued focus on promoting the Maldives as a hub for international sporting competitions.
