STELCO has stated that power has been restored within an hour to the affected areas in Male' and Hulhumale'.

In a post on X at 12:40 today, STELCO said that power was cut off in some areas of Male' and Hulhumale' due to a technical issue.

STELCO said they were working on resolving the issue that caused the power outage and restoring electricity.

Later, in a message sent to the company's media group for journalists at 13:50, STELCO said that power had been restored to all affected areas.

However, STELCO did not specify the reason for the power outage.

The company requested that any customers still without power service should call 104.
