BML Islamic has been appointed as the platinum partner for the International Zakat Conference, organised by the Zakat House of Maldives, scheduled for 23 August.
This year’s conference will be held under the theme “Zakat for Social Justice and Digital Inclusion: Advancing Social Welfare through Innovation”. It aims to promote a sustainable zakat system in the Maldives, bringing together scholars, zakat partners, policymakers, and community leaders to develop policies that strengthen zakat’s role in social welfare and economic stability.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, BML Islamic highlighted its full range of Shariah-compliant services, including accounts, cards, and financing options, and noted it remains the only bank in the country to issue Islamic debit and credit cards.
To celebrate the milestone, the bank has launched a special promotion offering ten customers the chance to perform the pilgrimage. Eligible participants include existing and new BML Islamic customers who use financing facilities, deposit salaries, hold general investment accounts, or use Islamic credit cards.
