President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that an additional 100 housing units will be built in B. Thulhaadhoo.
Speaking at a meeting held in Thulhaadhoo during his ongoing trip to Baa Atoll, the President stated that implementing a housing project in Thulhaadhoo was one of his presidential pledges.
He said that the tender for building 100 housing units in Thulhaadhoo has been opened, and one party has submitted a bid. The President mentioned that the process of selecting a contractor and drafting the agreement has already begun, and the construction of the 100 housing units will start very soon.
The President also stated that the road construction project contract has been signed, and work on this project will begin shortly.
Furthermore, the President said that efforts will be made to designate Emboodhoo as a picnic island. He added that the Tourism Minister and the Attorney General will proceed with this work.
