President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated a Maldives Immigration office in B. Eydhafushi.

The President opened the Immigration office yesterday evening during his ongoing trip to Baa Atoll.

At the inauguration ceremony, the first passport service from the new office was provided to a recipient. The passport was handed over by the Minister of Homeland, Ali Ihsaan.

Establishing Immigration services in inhabited islands and making passport acquisition more accessible is a policy of this government.

Under this policy, Immigration offices have been established in 11 atolls so far.
