President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated a new Bank of Maldives (BML) ATM facility in Kudarikilu, enhancing banking accessibility for the island’s residents.

The inauguration, held today as part of the President’s ongoing visit to Baa Atoll, was attended by BML CEO Mohamed Shareef and Kudarikilu Council President Abdul Hannan Abbas. During the ceremony, the President officially launched the service and presented a commemorative bank card to the Island Council, received by Council President Abdul Hannan Abbas on behalf of Kudarikilu Council.

The government has committed to establishing ATM facilities in every inhabited island in the Maldives. So far, the service has been made available in all inhabited islands of six atolls—Haa Alif, Haa Dhaalu, Baa, Dhaalu, Meemu, and Kaafu.

BML has announced plans to install more than 250 ATMs nationwide by the end of this year, aiming to ensure convenient access to financial services for communities across the country.
