The Road Development Corporation (RDC) has been tasked with modernising roads in 11 islands across seven atolls, following agreements signed with the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure on Monday.
Minister of State for Construction Hassan Rasheed signed on behalf of the ministry, while RDC Managing Director Ibrahim Nazim represented the corporation.
The projects, all set to be completed within 730 days, include and are valued at:
- Th. Guraidhoo – MVR 74.4 million
- Th. Kinbidhoo – MVR 79.5 million
- Th. Hirilandhoo – MVR 70.5 million
- M. Muli – MVR 85 million
- HA. Nolhivaranfaru – MVR 101.2 million
- HA. Finey – MVR 65.5 million
- B. Thulhaadhoo – MVR 70.9 million
- B. Kudarikilu – MVR 53.5 million
- AA. Thuraakunu – MVR 65.5 million
- Sh. Maroshi – MVR 60.2 million
- N. Maafaru – MVR 116 million
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve road infrastructure in local communities.
