Bank of Maldives (BML) has opened applications for its 2025 Startup Grant, offering three grants this year in celebration of BML Islamic’s 10th anniversary, an increase from the usual two recipients.
Each winning business will receive MVR 500,000 along with comprehensive financial advice to support the successful execution of their business plans. The grant is open to individuals and newly registered businesses.
BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said the initiative reflects the Bank’s commitment to supporting local enterprises and fostering the Maldivian start-up ecosystem, with the aim of creating jobs and opportunities for positive social impact.
Applications must be submitted via email to [email protected] by 4pm on 7 September 2025. Launched in 2022, the Startup Grant targets emerging entrepreneurs looking to start or expand their businesses in the Maldives.
