Housing Ministry has clarified that individuals who scored above 76 marks under the previous government’s flat allocation scheme will be prioritised in the ongoing distribution of flats through the Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC).

Under the previous administration’s policy, flats were to be allotted only to those scoring above 76. However, the Ministry has acknowledged that some eligible individuals were excluded during the flat selection process held on 16 November 2023. As a result, efforts are underway to resolve these discrepancies and ensure that all eligible applicants receive their flats.

In the first round, three-room flats will be allotted to those scoring above 76 and listed in the official homeless scheme gazetted on 15 November 2023. Once this process is complete, remaining flats will be allocated to individuals scoring 75 and selected through the gurat. Two-room flats will be given to those scoring above 73.

The Ministry emphasised that while some with 75 marks have already received flats due to participation in the draw, final allotments for those with higher scores who missed the process will be given precedence to uphold the original eligibility criteria.
