Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has reported a revenue of MVR 490.33 million for the second quarter of the 2025 fiscal year. According to the company’s latest quarterly report, operating profit stood at MVR 49.76 million per quintal, while non-tax net profit amounted to MVR 32.92 million.

During this period, MTCC completed nine projects worth a total of MVR 593.03 million. At the same time, MTCC initiated work on 64 projects, including embankment construction and coastal protection efforts. The company also signed contracts for 35 new projects valued at MVR 1.42 billion.

As part of the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) expansion, MTCC launched the service in Raa Atoll in the second quarter. A new bus route was also introduced to support easier access for thalassaemia patients.

The report notes that MTCC employs 4,130 people, including 2,463 Maldivians and 1,661 foreigners. Of the total workforce, 3,646 are men and 484 are women.

Major projects completed in the second quarter include the D. Maafaru Airport apron expansion, R. Ungoofaaru road development, K. Funadhoo coastal repairs, M. Muli airport development, F. FCSC Children’s Home construction, and the GA. Maamendhoo emergency shore protection structure.
