President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has departed for Singapore on an unofficial visit last night.

This marks the fourth unofficial trip to Singapore by the President and First Lady since taking office. The couple previously visited Singapore on March 22 last year and returned to the Maldives on May 24 after an extended stay.

Another visit took place on May 1 last year, with the couple returning on May 5. Their most recent trip was on August 27 last year.

Prior to assuming office, President Dr Muizzu also travelled to Singapore on a family visit on October 30, 2023, and returned on November 4, shortly before his inauguration.

No official details have been released regarding the current visit.
