Deputy Managing Director of the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), Fayaz Mansoor, has resigned from his post.

Fayaz stepped down on Thuesday, a day after the resignation of Managing Director Mohamed Mauroof Jameel, also resigned from his post.

HDC confirmed Fayyaz's resignation but did not disclose the reason.

Fayaz was appointed to the post in January, shortly after Mauroof took over as managing director in December. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Quantity Surveying from Queensland University of Technology, Australia, and a Master’s in Building Science from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.

He has been serving as a director at Gedor Consulting Pvt. Ltd., a leading architechture company, since 1996.

Following Mauroof’s departure, Brigadier General (retd) Ali Zuhair has been appointed as the new managing director of HDC.
