President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake witnessed the signing of two key agreements between the Maldives and Sri Lanka on Monday.

The first was a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Foreign Service Institute of Maldives (FOSIM) and Sri Lanka’s Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute (BIDTI). It focuses on cooperation in diplomatic training and sharing information and resources.

The second was a treaty on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, aimed at enhancing cooperation in investigations, prosecutions, and the exchange of evidence.

These agreements reflect both countries' commitment to strengthening ties in diplomacy and legal affairs.
