Maldives Transport Link (RTL) ferry service has commenced in Baa Atoll today.
The Transport Ministry said on Monday that ferry services would be available to 13 islands in the atoll. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has pledged to start the RTL service in Baa Atoll by the end of this month.
The ferry tickets will be available through the RTL website and through the RTL mobile app, the transporter said.
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been entrusted by the Ministry of Transport to provide RTL services. The service was last launched in R. Atoll.
The 'Integrated National Public Ferry Network' project, designed to connect the Maldives with a high-speed ferry view, is currently being provided to 10 atolls. That's a. Atoll, A.D.; Atoll, B. Atoll, N. Atoll, L. Atoll, G. Atoll. Atoll, G.D.; Atoll, R. Atoll, Fuvahmulah City and Addu City.
The RTL project is a national transportation project that divides the entire country into three phases and divides the atolls into six zones.
The main objective of the project is to make it easier for people to travel by sea at cheaper rates.
